Report back on how it's going, and we'll cheer you on!

I have a bit of a coffee problem too. . . but I've figured out that I actually want a friendly interaction first thing in the morning, something that I don't get consitantly in the onion patch. I have found that friendly blog reading with my own cup of joe can be a good substitute.

I think I may have to resort to filling up, so to speak, anytime/everytime I reach the 1/2 tank mark.

I know it is a psychological thing, but it is so much easier to handle putting $20-25 worth of gas in the tank rather than $40-50! :::thud:::

Sami--and it is not like the price is going to go DOWN much, so if you wait, it will only be 2 cents MORE a gallon the next day! LOL Smile

I'm not exaggerating, but just by doing these things, I'm going to save around $500/month.

As for putting whatever little extra cash I get (yes, my mom still gives me extra money!!) Smileinto Gas, if I dont do this, I'd just spend it on junky snacks.

I take my lunch to work nearly everyday. Usually, on payday (every 2 weeks), I give myself a special treat of "lunch out." To keep myself from spending a lot of money on nonsense stuff, I get $20 from the atm on Saturday. This goes for the occasional snack, cup of tea, etc. Normally, I use tea bags that I bring from home. When it's gone, it's gone until I go to the atm on Saturday. I have learned to be choosier (is that a word?) about what I spend money on. As for coffee, you could put coffee in a thermos and bring it to work. One guy where I work does it and I am sure saves a ton of money.
